Build Your Own Computer

There has been incredible evolution in the world of personal computers since I sprang for my first one back in 1993.
Back then, you had to be a genuinely geeky pocket-protector-wearing nerd to build a computer out of components.
But the times have changed for the better. Building your own PC is a snap nowadays. And today’s FamilyFirst pick will show you just how simple it is.
It’s a YouTube video that runs just over five minuets that shows you just how easy it is to build your own PC.

You can get a very nice, powerful bare-bones kit from tigerdirect.com or many other online computer stores for less than 400 bucks.
After an hour or so of assembly, you have a working PC.
And here’s the best part. Instead of being loaded with Vista and a whole tone of crapware that will die in a month or so unless you send money, the choice is YOURS as to what operating system to put on it.
At this point, give Ubuntu a try. It’s free, it will let you do practically anything with your PC that Windows will, and it’s COMPLETELY FREE.
Why shell out 500 or more dollars for a mediocre PC preloaded with Windows? Watch today’s FamilyFirst video and see how easy it is to take control of your own computing destiny.
